Open Plan Kitchen-Lounge

The downstairs of this small terrace was separated into a small kitchen, with a tiny dining table, and a separate lounge. The kitchen was dark and not a very nice time to spend time.

My client was recently separated and felt nervous about making design decisions alone. Together we took his ideas for a 'calm, modern' space and developed the idea for this open-plan kitchen-lounge with a Japandi feel. He loves the outdoors and so we used a neutral palette, lots of wood grain and splashes of green to bring in the feel of the outdoors. To avoid the space feeling too bland we contrasted the neutral tones with an edge of black.

"Amanda offers a five star service. She designed, coordinated and project managed my open plan kitchen project and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The room is a pleasure to spend time in. I would highly recommend working with Amanda if you are looking for that personal touch with some different ideas rather than other off the shelf options."
